2013 Beauty Favourites

12.24.2013

Its been a decent year for beauty discoveries. I knew straight away which products I wanted to include in my 2013 favourites list. These are the products that are amongst my most used of the year.
I've spent more money on skincare this year. My absolute favourite skincare find this year has been the antipodes aura manuka honey mask. If I've been feeling under the weather or my skin is looking a little dull, I pop on this mask and somehow, it completely soothes and rehydrates my skin, leaving it smooth, soft and balanced. I love the honey scent and I think its completely worth the £. Its definitely one I will be repurchasing when I run out and I'm hoping to pick up a few more antipodes products in the coming months. Another amazing skincare find has been the body shop camomile cleansing butter, which has been a godsend for preventing any dry skin patches I always seem to have in winter. Its essentially a soft white cleansing butter that almost looks like candle wax in the tin but once massaged onto the skin, turns into an oil. I like to remove it with a warm damp cloth so no residue is left behind. For £12, its an affordable offering that I'll stock up on once I've used my current tin. A very recent purchase of mine are bath and body works anti-bacterial hand gels. Obviously at this time of year, germs are flying around and I'm a germaphobe at best so I like to keep a few hand gels around the house and in my handbag. The bath and body works ones smell incredible - vanilla cupcake is my current favourite. I like that they're also small enough to fit in your coat pocket, which stops them going missing easily. For makeup, I've loved topshop nail polish in tidal - a gorgeous light blue with grey undertones. I've also managed to find a brilliant powder this year. Seventeens miracle matte loose powder has been the perfect product for keep my oily t-zone under control. I've been searching a long time for a decent powder and I think this may just become a hg purchase of mine. Finally, a little mention to my most used item of the year, which is MAC paint pot in vintage selection. I reach for this when I want a quick and easy makeup look in the morning. Its the perfect wash of champagne and it lasts all day on my oily eyelids!
I've got one or two posts planned before the end of the year but I just wanted to wish everyone a lovely Christmas. I hope Santa brings you everything you wish for. Love Zoe xx
